SBA Portfolio Manager
Phoenix, AZ Direct-Hire $90000.00 - $110000.00 Hybrid

Job Description

SBA Portfolio Manager

Direct Hire | $90,000 - $110,000

Must Reside in Arizona | 4 days Remote, 1 day Onsite

Why consider this opportunity?

  • Ownership of your SBA portfolio, not just post-close admin work
  • Work in a credit-driven environment where quality and compliance matter
  • Handle true SBA loans (504, 7(a), USDA), not "SBA-lite" deals
  • Long-term career stability within a well-established credit union

In this role, you will:

Manage an assigned portfolio of SBA 504, SBA 7(a), and USDA loans with responsibility for ongoing credit oversight, risk monitoring, and member relationship management. Serve as the primary point of contact for portfolio reviews, servicing activities, and compliance requirements.

  • Manage and monitor a portfolio of SBA and USDA loans throughout the loan lifecycle
  • Review financial information, perform annual reviews, and monitor maturities and portfolio risk
  • Serve as the primary contact for members, supporting relationship management and retention
  • Collect and review documentation to support underwriting, servicing, and credit decisions
  • Identify and resolve documentation and compliance exceptions
  • Monitor delinquency, identify credit concerns, and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with SBA SOPs, servicing requirements, and internal policies
  • Collaborate with business development, underwriting, closing, and servicing teams to support loan modifications, reviews, and approvals
  • Review and approve loan draw requests in accordance with SBA and credit union guidelines
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support SBA lending operations

Requirements:

· 3+ years of experience managing SBA or commercial loan portfolios

· Working knowledge of SBA 504 and SBA 7(a) programs; USDA experience preferred

· Strong understanding of SBA SOPs, loan servicing requirements, and compliance standards

· Experience analyzing borrower financial statements and performing annual reviews

· Ability to identify portfolio risk, monitor delinquency, and escalate credit concerns

· Comfortable serving as the primary point of contact for member relationships
